Scenic Air Safaris Champion the Plight of Endangered Species and Take in Iconic Africa

Making the most of their recently acquired executive aircraft, luxury pioneering safari operator Scenic Air Safaris has just launched two new diverse flying safari itineraries. These exciting small group adventures will focus on frontline wildlife conservation efforts, with a nine-day itinerary offering the unique opportunity to spend time in the company of some of the world’s leading biologists and conservationists. The 14-day itinerary in east and southern Africa, which will take in some of the most iconic locations and experiences on offer in sub-Saharan Africa. With the time saving convenience of private charter flights between destinations, Scenic Air Safaris are offering flexibility and time saving journeys to remote and beautiful places whilst avoiding the hassles of scheduled air travel in Africa.

The 9-day Endangered Species Safari across Kenya, focuses on conservation efforts to help preserve wildlife that is both vulnerable and in danger of extinction including Grevy’s Zebra, African Wild Dog, Reticulated Giraffe, Black Rhino, Lion, Cheetah and Elephant. To offer a greater insight into the human wildlife conflict and to support conservation efforts to help protect endangered species, Scenic Air Safaris are including exceptional access to renowned specialist conservationists such as Saba Douglas Hamilton who manages the Save the Elephants Foundation with her father Iain, David Maskell, the architect and curator of an orphaned Lion rehabilitation program, and Dr Elena Chelysheva who has spent the last 30 years based in the Masai Mara pioneering research into cheetah behaviour and identification. Highlights also include a scenic flight across the Laikipia Plateau and time at Lewa’s Wildlife Conservancy, renowned for the preservation of Black Rhino, a project led by Chief Conservation Officer Geoffrey Chege but also Grevy’s Zebra and Reticulated Giraffe with insights from Willie Roberts. Also included on the itinerary is the opportunity to spend time tracking Wild Dog with expert Simon Kenyon.

Prices start from $9,875 per person sharing (£7,900) and include a private executive Cessna 208 Grand Caravan, with pilot guide throughout the trip and full board accommodation whilst on safari.

The 14-day Ultimate Across Africa Safari is the trip of a lifetime and the perfect option to experience iconic Africa in the most comfortable way. With an itinerary travelling north from Victoria Falls to the Serengeti or southbound from the Serengeti to Victoria Falls taking in iconic destinations such as the Okavango Delta, Chobe, Lake Malawi via the South Luangwa National Park in Zambia or the greatest National Parks in East Africa including the Masai Mara, the Serengeti, Southern Tanzania’s Ruaha National Park and the Mahale Mountains, it offers the opportunity to see a wide range of spectacular national parks and varied wildlife but also to witness some of the most iconic landscapes from the sky.
